   The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is because the usb cord that connects to my PS5 is so short. Other than that this product is exactly what I wanted. That being said, I did a lot of research beforehand and understood that this product wouldn’t be used to store PS5 games. I use this for my PS4 games since they can be played directly from this storage. The installation was very easy and user friendly and connected right away without any hassle. Definitely do your research before but I would recommend this storage for a PS5 gaming system.

   I got 2 of these, one for the PS4 and the other for my PS5. My PS5 hasn’t arrived yet, but the one I’m using with my PS4 couldn’t be better. Whether they intended it to or not the shape and the lights are really similar to the PS4. A friend who looked at it said it looked cool. It is heavy, generally heavy means well built and sturdy to me (time will tell though). A lot of people are using this for their gaming consoles so portability isn’t huge.

   I was able to plug n play. No formatting, nothing to mess around with (except the footpads they sent). I’m really pleased with this purchase so far. I was able to repurpose my old external HDD for my desktop, so it save time and money there. And 6TB (closer to 5TB) is nothing to sneeze at.

   I attached it to my PS4 the day I received it. Everything worked perfectly. I was able to offload all the games to this drive and able to play them from the drive on the PS4. I have it attached to my PS5 now. It is nice to have PS4 games not taking up Valuable Real Estate on the PS5 drive.

   It is simple to use. Just plug it in to an outlet and plug it in to your ps5 and start storing games.

   It is definitely a plug and play. I plugged it into the PS5 and started loading PS4 games right away with absolutely no issues. I have over 60 games loaded and several games over 100gb, there is still 3.6tb available.
   I’m not sure why there are so many people saying it does not work. There is a power switch on the back, maybe they are not turning it on. I actually like being able to turn it off when it isn’t needed

   Read manual, Connected Avolusion HDDGEAR PRO X 6TB USB 3.0 External Gaming Hard Drive for PS5 Game Console – 2 Year Warranty and Ps5 went to format 6tb drive to access extended storage and said could not format drive on PS5 and instructed me to connect the hdd into a PC, then connect to somekind of firmware upgrade to Possibly get the data utilized. I dont have time to work, play and relax, and support my family. I already replaced the Avoluion with a 5TB WD external drive and works gteat!

   So I’ve been looking for an external hard drive for my PS5 and I came upon this item and was interested. I received this item today and opened it and I realize it does not look like the item that was shown. I figured maybe it’s a newer version??…so I plugged it in and my PS5 recognize it but it won’t let me save my PS5 games on it. When I go to my storage settings, it’s reading it as “PS4 Games and Apps” and I’m not about to switch versions of my PS5 games to PS4 version just to accommodate a device that didn’t promise what they advertised. So I’m returning it. Wish I had gotten the right item…this just disappointing as I have to order another and wait for it to arrive. Hope they do better for the next customer then I did.
