Neptunia ReVerse is a remake of the Playstation 3 game “Hyperdimension Neptunia”. It uses gameplay from Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 but vastly improves upon the balancing and user interface.
Having only played the PS3 game in the past, this game was decent at its job as a remake of the series. For most who have played re;birth 1, it would just be the same game but with massive UI improvements. But for those like me who haven’t experienced the re;birth games, it is a great buy and took up all my time this weekend.

I don’t have a PS5 and I don’t think to get one for the next 2-3 years… BUT… I like Neptunia games and I need this for my Nep-Nep collection. I’ll keep it in my shelf and beat it in the future.
Reverse is just another version of the first game, so… If you have played the Rebirth 1 or aren’t a big Nep-Nep fan you can skip it.

This is another remake of the first game that released back in 2011 the first Remake was released in 2014 for the PS Vita and later on PC and now in 2021 we have this one Reverse and this is a pretty good entry in the series it’s a tongue and cheek JRPG that has so many references to other video game franchises it’ll make your head spin. Gameplay is your traditional turn based gameplay with a few unique elements to it and with this game there’s a mode where you have access to 21 characters right from the bat and I highly recommend to play this mode. So if you have a PS5 and even if you have surface level interest with JRPG’s I say get this one by the end I clocked in over 60 hours in my playthrough with it.
