Survival RPG Worth Your Time. It can be very challenging, be prepared to die, but if you give it time im sure you will fall in love with it like I did. The definitive addition is well worth the price, from a very small studio, and this is in English when you play. With all the broken games released these days this is a gem.

This disc version comes with english text right out of the box straight from the opening menu.
If you are used to attacking things first without paying attention to defense, your character will take more blows and fall quicker. Somewhat unique to OUTWARD, your character doesn’t exactly ‘die’ with every defeat but instead being moved elsewhere, sometimes with supplies taken and with in-game time passing.
Unique is the word with Outward. The game is somewhat difficult for button mashers and even traveling through a winter landscape comes with planning and afterthought. Players are rewarded with beautfiul landscapes matched with amazing background music. At the time of this review, a sequel has been announced by its development studio. This ‘definitive’ version is the best way to jump into Outward without extra downloading of the two dlc packages.

PS4版で致命的とされたロードの長さが改善(約90秒→約15秒)されました。地味ですが波長が合う人はとことんやれる系で個人的にも好きなタイトルです。
ただ現状気になった点が2つ。
・DLC1にあたるエリアのダンジョンでありえないほど処理が重くなりプレイに支障が出る所がある。数秒ごとにコマ送りレベルでしか動けないくらい
・DLC2にあたるエリアでエラー落ちが起こりやすく、更に再開した時に追加機能である建設物が全て消去されてしまう。特に市役所を建設していると市役所ごと中のキーパーソンも消えてしまうため、以降のイベントが進行できなくなる致命的なバグ。
購入を検討されている方はご注意を。
