Version 4.0 of the Remote Play App on iOS and iPadOS or version 4.1 on macOS is required for games to be playable with the controller over Bluetooth.

I received a controller with joystick drift and wear on the grips of the handle. It was also a bit dirty but you have to compromise when you buy something from the renewed store. The DualSense is also a bit inconvinient if you don’t have a PS5. I use this with my MacBook so i cant update its firmware. The advanced haptics and adaptive triggers wont work unless you are playing modern AAA titles. If you want to play older games with no native dualsense support, you have to run the controller through an emulator which has a burden on the CPU. So keep that it mind. Dualsensex and Dualsensem are amazing apps which can help you utilize the dualsense to the maximum, but even it is limited.
Conclusion: Buy if you know what you are getting into, or wait 2 years for games to adapt to the adaptive controllers, or just get the Xbox series controller.

It may be refurbished, but I haven’t noticed any issues yet. It arrived clean, no drift or sticky buttons, and the battery seems fine and likewise with the charging port.
Worth the 5$/10$ off by getting refurbished if you don’t plan to use it as much, like me. But even although I notice no issues yet, if you know you’ll use the controller often, I’d recommend getting a brand new one just in case.

Excitedly ordered this controller for my wife as one of hers just died and she was interested in gyro, but failed to notice that this was a refurbished controller. No bigs, there’s been plenty of times where I’ve purchased something used and it was still more than in working condition. When it arrived, it was in a USPS mailer envelope with a white usb-c cord, and nothing else. Also no bigs- we can google whatever we need to know for setup etc. My wife noticed it was kind of grody looking, which we also tried to ignore because if it works, it’s super easy to clean/sterilize a controller. But it didn’t work. The usb-c port on the controller was wiggly as hell which meant it kept disconnecting while plugged into her pc ((how she would primarily be using this controller)). After a quick googling we find that this is a common issue with these controllers, so we figured it would be safer to return this, eat the return charge, and purchase one from a local store so returns would be easier.
This controller should NOT have been shipped out, but it seems either it slipped through inspection or wasn’t inspected for issues at all, so heads up.
