If there was such a thing as “ sniper elite addiction “ I would be top patient. I love sniper elite series. Always improving and from one to the other always surprising and fun. Great game, until now with “ Resistance “
Not even close to Sniper Elite 5. No improvement whatsoever, just different maps and buildings. Graphic is the same, movement is much worst, can’t even jump a three foot wall, not talking get in top of buildings etc.
Well overpriced for what it got to offer. If it was a pair of underwear, it will be on the trash, and I’d stay commando.
If there was an option I’d give -5 stars.

If you liked or love Sniper Elite 5 this one will fit right in. If you did not, this won’t change your mind. There is very little different here except a new (annoying voiced) character. But the game plays the same and level design is pretty much the same concept. Which over all is fine, but this is priced way to high for a “new” game. Should of been sold as a side mission for around $40 dollars.
Playing it on the PS5 Pro I don’t see any additions to it. Still suffers from the series pop in and draw distance generally being okay.

First I just want to say I’ve been playing since the first one came out all those years ago, and I’ve never written a review on a game before. Do you love the sprawling maps of the other Sniper Elite games, the sniping positions overlooking a good piece of the map, long shots, a good story, finding collectables on bodies, piling up huge numbers of Nazi kills, upgrading your weapon skins and attributes by completing challenges, and really planning out how you’re going to go about beating the level? Well go ahead and stick with Sniper Elite 5 and save your money. The maps are tiny and not very populated, the story is boring, there’s no reason to search bodies unless you need ammo because there’s no letters from home or anything for that matter, the combat is mostly close to medium range, the AI is terrible, and the sightlines are mediocre at best. I haven’t been this disappointed in a game since Cyberpunk 2077 first launched. At least it looks good. Also the disc really makes a great coaster if you have wood tables!

Let’s not beat around the bush. Playing Sniper Elite Resistance on a 98″ TV, PS5 Pro and this game is another cross-gen title that takes NO advantages of the PS5…much less the PS5 Pro.
Everything is recycled…down to the skill trees. Sniper Elite 5 in my honest opinion was and still the better game.
S.E. Resistance feels designed just to make a quick buck and hope for the best and nobody notices. If i could return this game I would.
This will be my last Sniper Elite game unless Rebellion moves the series to the Pacific or Nam.
Enough with the quick cash grabs and start taking advantage of the hardware.
