The first game of the long awaited Calvard saga is both a fresh take on a new setting, and some familiar themes that made TLoH arguably the most successful RPG franchise right now. Without going into spoilers, this one will touch on a bunch of situations very similar to some of the more modern entries in the series, most notably the Erebonian arc, but the story telling, the subtle nods to previous events and the robust character development still keeps this a very entertaining RPG and a must play for any fan of the series, especially since the second part is out this Friday.
It’s not my favourite game on the series, but it is a great game nonetheless.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails games are all winners, and this one is no different. It’s crazy how good every single one of these games is. This is worth every penny. You don’t need to have played the other Trails games to get into this one. As with all of these games, it does have crossovers and references, and it exists in the world of the previous games. This has its own new story, though.

I really like the story. At first, I hated the secondary game play where you can beat the monster on the field without going to turn-based gameplay. But I came to like it during the new game+ walkthrough as you just beat the monsters out in the field instead. It makes it a breeze!!
